NAIS is keen to build connections with a wide variety of different groups and individuals, including
researchers based in industry interested in exploring the possibilities for the use of high performance computing to improve simulations of relevant systems
academics from all areas of science and engineering interested in using HPC for applications simulations and modelling
PhD students in mathematics, computer science and other fields, especially those based at UK universities
mathematicians and computer scientists who wish to enhance their HPC understanding or share knowledge of novel algorithms and computing techniques
How to Participate: NAIS sponsors a variety of open conferences, workshops, and seminars. If you are intested in attending such meetings it is a good idea to drop us a line to check on availability of space and/or to get yourself added to the mailing list.
NAIS is very keen to engage with researchers working in industry who wish to explore the use of advanced parallel computers to enhance product design or modelling of industrial processes. Please contact NAIS directly to arrange a meeting if you feel that we might be able to help.
NAIS is particular interested to help young researchers to learn about HPC methodology, different types of computing hardware, and novel computing methods that can make a difference in their research.
NAIS welcomes interested researchers from the three principal partners (Edinburgh University, Strathclyde University and Heriot-Watt University) at its training events and its informal research brainstorming forum (held on the first thursday of each month). If you are interested in attending these events it is important to contact us in advance to assure a space will be available.
If you have any questions about NAIS and how it can help you, please do not hesitate to drop us an email at info@nais.org.uk.
